MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

If you ask us for an appointment, we will try to offer you one as soon as possible at a convenient time. You can make an appointment by calling 01652 653163 – see our opening times for details of practice opening hours.

Our practice is home to several dentists, each with their own working days and schedules.

Recently, some of our dentists have reduced their hours and as a result, their appointment availability has become more limited. Due to these changes, you will not always be able to remain with the same dentist.

Whilst we understand that many patients prefer to see the same dentist for continuity of care, it is not always possible.

When booking appointments, we will offer you the earliest available time with any of our experienced and highly qualified dentists. Rest assured that all of our clinicians follow the same high standards of care and work closely together as a team to ensure your treatment is consistent and well-coordinated.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, and we remain committed to providing you with the highest level of dental care.

REMINDERS AND RECALLS

At the end of your treatment, your dentist will discuss with you when you will need to see a dentist again. NHS dentists now follow guidelines issued by National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). This means that you will attend as often as needed to keep your teeth and gums healthy and may no longer need a check-up every six months.

Patients who provide us with their mobile number or email will receive reminders when their check up is due asking them to book an appointment. Texts are also sent as a reminder of the date and time of a booked appointment. Any patients who do not want to receive text reminders should inform us and this will be noted on their records.

CANCELLATIONS, FAILED AND MISSED APPOINTMENTS

It is inevitable that sometimes you may need to cancel and rearrange your dental appointments.

We ask patient to give us as much notice as possible when cancelling an appointment so we have the opportunity to offer it to someone else, although we do understand that during an emergency this is not always possible.

Non-attendance and cancellations at short notice with a valid reason deprive other patient of our services.

After two fail to attends or short notice cancellations you may no longer be able to book further appointments.

Deposits are taken for private treatments, these deposits are to cover the cost of cancelled or failed appointments. If you cancel or fail to attend then your deposit will be retained and if you wish to rebook, you will be required to pay another deposit.

We do understand that circumstances change and appointments need to be rearranged, if you cancel within a sufficient amount of notice, you will be asked to rebook this appointment to secure your deposit. If no further appointments are made, your deposit will be retained.

Please note this only applies in certain circumstances and if multiple cancellations, your deposit will be retained.
